Bomba is a visually driven music video project created for Moroccan artist Positive Man, combining live-action performance with stylized VFX and rotoscoped animation. The visual concept centered around transforming the artist and dancers into striking, high-energy characters through glowing masks, dynamic light effects, and atmospheric visual treatments.
One of the biggest challenges was making the illuminated mask feel like an integral part of the character rather than simply a physical prop.
The extensive rotoscoping process was another major challenge, requiring approximately 3,500 frames of dancing and movement to be manually isolated and tracked. The VFX then had to remain accurately attached to the performers throughout fast and unpredictable movements.
The project transformed the music video into a bold, cinematic neon experience by turning the mask into a distinctive glowing visual signature, enhancing the artist and dancers with dynamic VFX lighting, and seamlessly integrating these effects across approximately 3,500 rotoscoped frames to create a cohesive and energetic visual identity.
